Let's party on the Weekend Beauty Blog Hop

I have had a hectic couple of weeks and as such my poor little blog has been neglected. The older he gets, the more hard work The Crazy Kid becomes. The second I sit down at the computer he runs up and grabs my hand to drag me somewhere or other. That pretty much just leaves his nap times for blogging, but then that is also my only chance to get chores and work done so rarely blogging wins; the other chance is in the evenings after Crazy has gone down, but the these days I'm shattered, so fail again. I have that many blog posts written in my head that just need to make it to the computer...

As we get further and further into the party season, I can just feel that there will either be even less opportunities to blog, or more awesome topics to write about (I hope it's the latter). So, this week, instead of listing your blog, I want you to post a link to one of you blog posts that has a party element to it - whether it be a party FOTD, a perfume that puts you in the mood for a great night out, or some creative nail designs. Don't make reference to your blog but simply leave the title of your post so that it is a surprise to readers as to which blog they will end up at. I will post a link to one of my articles below so that you can see what I mean. If it is too hard to pick just one article to link to, you are more than welcome post more than once. In fact, I would love it if you did - lets get the party started!

I would love suggestions for themes to use in the coming weeks as well, if you have any.

Pimp your favourite summer post on the Weekend Beauty Blog Hop

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the Weekend Beauty Blog Hop was starting to get a bit boring and that I had changed things up. With the weather getting warmer (in the Southern Hemisphere anyway!) this week, instead of listing your blog, I want you to post a link to one of you blog posts that reminds you msot of summer - whether it be a perfume review, a beach hair look, or some bright coral nail polish swatches. Don't make reference to your blog but simply leave the title of your post so that it is a surprise to readers as to which blog they will end up at. I will post a link to one of my articles below so that you can see what I mean. If it is too hard to pick just one article to link to, you are more than welcome post more than once. In fact, I would love it if you did - lets get the feelings of summer going, peeps!

I discovered the concept of a Blog Hop on another blog and thought that it was brilliant, but most of the links posted in the list weren't of interest to me ie they weren't beauty blogs! I hunted around for a specific Beauty Blog Hop but couldn't find one so made my own!

The Weekend Beauty Blog Hop

I recently discovered the concept of a Blog Hop and thought that it was pretty cool. The only problem was that this Blog Hop wasn't genre specific so unfortunately the majority of blogs didn't interest me. I had a search for Beauty Blog Hop but couldn't find one, so decided to create my own.

So, what is a Blog Hop? It is a cool way of discovering new blogs or hopefully getting new followers for your blog. All you have to do is enter a link below to your blog and it will then appear in a list that others can then click on the link to go directly to your blog. You can also go through the list to discover new blogs and then follow any that interest you. The really cool thing with a Blog Hop is that if you also want to post it on your blog, you just grab the code below. Then, if anyone joins the Blog Hop from your blog, not only will your list be updated with their link but also all blogs in the Blog Hop - so it doesn't matter where someone joins, we will all have the same list. From the list you can then 'hop' from one blog to another.

The rules:

I am going to make it simple and have only one rule. Your blog must have some amount of beauty content. That's it. Other blogs with Blog Hops insist that you must follow them to participate. I would love it if you did follow me; however, I would prefer followers who are genuinely interested in my blog. So, if it is not you cup of tea, no worries. You are still more than welcome to participate, and I hope you do discover some other blogs of interest.
